Life is like a Battle!

Life is most like a battle because you never know how a battle is going to turn out. You have all these choices to make and you get different weapons; but how you choose to use them is up to you. Some of these weapons would be like education. With a good education, your opportunities are endless. You'll be able to go anywhere! So if you substite life for a battle, education might give you an unlimited lives. Also, you'll have choices and that will impact the mission. A bad choice will make you lose troops and a good choice will give you more ammunition. You can come out on top, but the choice is yours!

Literature Circle Response #3

Hello bloggers and a special hello to my Literature Circle group mates, Andrianna, Melissa, Haneen, Hannah and Sara. Our discussions and Literature Circles are super and I can't wait to get into another one. In this section of our reading(Chapters 7-10 of Sketches by Eric Walters) Dana has encountered one of the many scary things on the streets. When Dana, Ashley, and Brent were squeegeeing, they met some unpleasant kids. After the incident, Dana was offered a knife for protection. She didn't take the knife happily, because she didn't think that she could do anything to anybody with it. So my question for you this week is; What do you think would be the breaking point for Dana to actually use the knife? If you were in the same situation, what would it take for you to use the knife? Let's keep up the good work up guys! I forgot to mention Arianna!

Assignment #9: If I had $100

Hello Bloggers! The past week we've been talking about how grateful we are and how we are very fortunate to live in a place like Canada. Unfortunately, others weren't so lucky. My class has decided to take action and help them. My teacher gave me $100 to spend in one of these organizations(Oxfam, World Vision, Salvation Army, or Plan Canada). I decided to go with Oxfam. They have the cheapest gifts and a wide variety, work world wide and are the most trusted. I partnered up with some of my friends which gave us a total of $400. We bought goats($116) for cheese and milk. A sheep($52) for meat and clothes. A flock of chickens($90) for eggs and meat, and a donkey($120) for food or labor. We also got clean, easy accessible water($20) for them as well. We gave water because most people have to walk very far to get water and most of the time it's not very clean or safe. We decided to give mostly livestock becuase livestock are very useful becuase you get food, clothes, and you get some labor with the donkey. This is why we chose them.
